Back to Blogging

So I realized it has been almost a year since my last blog post. I really want to get back in the swing of things, so no better time to start than today. Since my last post in April 2010, things have been busy and fun in the Harto house! Last month we moved to a house that we are renting for the next few years. It is in Arlington about 0.7 miles from the Metro (still on a Metro line that takes us straight to work) and has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a fenced in back yard. We are able to paint so we have painted a few rooms and are now on the lookout for some new furniture. I never knew buying a new living room set would prove to be such a challenge!

In November Chris turned 30, so I surprised him with a 4 night trip to Turks and Caicos. We stayed at a wonderful resort (The Veranda) on Grace Bay Beach and had fun relaxing, drinking fruity beverages, and meeting other couples staying at the resort. On Chris' birthday we went on a half-day snorkel adventure that was the highlight of the trip.

Other travels in the past year have taken us to Chicago, Philadelphia (twice), and New York City (twice). Chris also went to Miami in December for a Browns game and has done some traveling for work to places like San Antonio, Dallas, and Pittsburgh.

The big thing we have coming up is our 5 year wedding anniversary in May! We both cannot believe it has almost been 5 years. It seems like it was just yesterday we were finalizing wedding plans. To celebrate our anniversary, we are taking a 12 day/11 night trip to Spain!! We leave on our anniversary (May 6) and fly back to the States on May 18. While in Spain, we will be visiting Madrid, Sevilla, some small towns between Sevilla and Granada, Granada, and Barcelona. We are hoping to go to a flamenco show and will be going to an FC Barcelona soccer game. Needless to say we are both really excited about this trip.

I love living vicariously through you guys. I'm not much of a traveler, so I love hearing about other people's trips and vacations!
