Since our family and friends are scattered, I thought I would start a blog to keep people up to date on our adventures. Plus everyone else seems to have a blog, so why not me??
Since Chris graduated in December 2009 with his M.S. in sustainability, he has interviewed in Washington, DC, and has an interview in Chicago next Monday. Last week I interviewed (via phone) for a job with the federal government in DC. We are both waiting to hear back - rather impatiently - and hope that word comes soon.
Our apartment lease in Tempe ended on December 31st, so we packed up 99% of our stuff (that we decided to keep that is) into two of those PODS-like units. Once we finally decide where and when we are moving, our stuff will be delivered to our new address. We are currently living with friends of ours that own their own home in Surprise, Arizona, which is a northwest suburb of Phoenix. They have two dogs, so Sophie is learning to eat fast! No more grazing and picking at food for her!
2010 seems like it is going to bring us some exciting changes and we are feeling optimistic for what this year holds!

- Chris and I met when we were students at The Ohio State University, and were married on May 6, 2006, after four years of dating. After living in Columbus, Ohio, and Tempe, Arizona, we now call Arlington, Virginia, home. We are also the proud parents of a 7 year old black lab mixed named Sophie.
