Job Update

Chris has interviewed for two positions at the same company in the last month - one of the jobs is in Washington, DC; the other is in Chicago. Happily, he has been offered both jobs! Well, the DC thing isn't 100% official, but they emailed him and said they are starting the paperwork to hire him, so by next week, we will get an official offer with salary and start date. The Chicago offer was made yesterday at the end of his interview (he flew out there on Sunday).

While Chicago would be a cool place to live, we are 99.9% sure DC is where we are heading in a few weeks. We know the DC area and have a support system of friends and family in the DC Metro area and in Maryland. Plus, it will be much easier for me to gain employment in DC. So we have flights booked for mid-next week to go out to DC and do apartment hunting! Craigslist is a great tool, but nothing beats seeing the place in person because a picture can only say so much. I am confident we will find something in the four days we will be out there.

Fingers crossed we find a great place and that I hear back soon from the job I had a phone interview with in DC two weeks ago. I am not sure how long I am cut out to handle being a stay at home wife!
