We've been busy since my last post. The weekend of January 22-24, Chris and I went with our friends Matt and Melissa to Vegas. We stayed at Treasure Island and a had fun weekend of good food, free/cheap drinks, and gambling. Chris won $375 playing Keno at Bally's on Saturday afternoon which paid for our dinner at StripSteak at Mandalay Bay that evening. For me the highlight of the weekend was having pre-dinner drinks at MIX Lounge, which has a spectacular view of the Strip since it is on the 64th floor of THEHotel at Mandalay Bay.
A couple of days after we got back from Vegas, we were off again, but this time to DC! With our move getting closer, we realized it was time we found a place to live out there. After a few days of searching, we decided to sign a lease for a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment in Alexandria, VA. We will be a block from a Metro station which will be so nice. Plus our apartment complex has a fitness center, pool, game room/pub, movie theater, and rooftop tennis court! Luckily we decided on a place on Friday afternoon because Saturday found us snowed in for most of the day. We were able to go out for dinner with Tiffany and Rob Saturday evening - we went to Zaytinya which was soooo good. We even saw Mike Isabella of Top Chef fame as he is the chef at Zaytinya!
